Not racing at Epic Bike Fest this weekend? You’ve still got something fun to do. 🥏

We just set up a new “borrow bin” for the developing disc golf course at Mt. Telemark Village!

Inside the bin:
🥏 Drivers, midranges & putters
🎒 Drawstring bags to carry your discs
🙌 Free to borrow while you play

Perfect for:
✔️ Friends & family of racers
✔️ Kids looking for an adventure
✔️ Anyone wanting to try disc golf for the first time

The course is still in development, so there are no baskets or tee pads yet—but each hole is marked with flagged stakes so you can get out and throw.

This weekend during Epic Bike Fest, the borrow bin will be located at Hole 1 of the disc golf course.

Grab some discs, explore the trails, and give it a shot.

📚🌼 NEW STORYWALK TRAILS ARE HERE 🌼📚

This summer, adventure and reading come together on two brand-new StoryWalk trails at Mt. Telemark Village and OO! Perfect for families, kids, walkers, and anyone looking for a little extra magic on the trail. ✨

🦋 OO StoryWalk Trail
Take an easy 0.5-mile loop starting north on the Birkie Classic Trail and returning on the Birkie Skate Trail while reading The Monarch by Kristen Hall. Follow the incredible journey of a monarch butterfly as spring wildflowers bloom all around you. 🌸

🐸 Hub StoryWalk Trail
Enjoy another easy 0.5-mile paved loop around Telehenge and the Jeff Hommes Memorial Pond featuring Over and Under the Pond by Kate Messner. Discover the hidden world above and below the water as you explore the trail. 💧

Both StoryWalks will be up ALL SUMMER long — so grab the kids, invite your friends, and make a day of it. 🚶‍♀️📖☀️

We did the math… and honestly, we’re still trying to wrap our heads around it 🤯

During the 2025/2026 grooming season, our crew logged 7,843.1 km on the trails. That’s about 4,873 miles of corduroy goodness.

To put that in perspective:
If you started grooming in Hayward and just kept going… you’d end up somewhere near India or the Caspian Sea 😳

OR—if international travel isn’t your thing—
that’s basically a round trip from Hayward to Mexico City… and back 🚜💨

All winter long, before the sun’s up and after it’s gone down, our groomers are out there laying the foundation for every stride, glide, and finish-line moment.

Next time you hit the trail, just know… you’re riding on a global-scale effort 🙌

Still plenty of snow on the ground according to Jeff Tumbleson Bob & Mikey ⛷️ We had an incredible snow year, but thanks to Birkie members we are able to invest in snowmaking infrastructure & (coming soon) snow preservation material.
