Today we welcomed Alex as the newest member of the 100 session club!

Throughout Alex's time with us she's continued to progress her strength, mobility, and confidence!

A working mom, she's working today to be the healthiest, strongest version of herself now and well into the future.

She's been an incredible assest to our gym community and we're incredibly proud of her and can't wait to see what she'll accomplish as she continues to progress!

Sometimes, things are messy.

The house.
The gym.
Life.

But nothing gets resolved without action and therein lies the problem;

How do we take action when we feel overwhelmed?
And/or in the face of repeated failures?

How much action do we take?

First, break it down into small chunks.

You're whole house may need to be cleaned, but start with something small like dishes or changing sheets.

The gym may be messy but I started with the immediate issue and grabbed the vacuum.

Your life may feel out of control but a hot shower, nutritious meal, or going to bed a little earlier and getting a solid night sleep can help clear mental fog and improve decision making.

We can't always fix messy things with small actions but we can begin the process.

Yes it's our door but that simply insures it'll get every eye as our members leave!!

Thank you to whomever left the "Make Music Day" flyer as we have many music fans and of course, train with our favorite versions and to Zach Larson for providing the Telemark Sprint Triathlon because, as you can imagine, we have many outdoor sport enthusiasts who may want to participate!

Posts have been a little sporadic at times this past week plus.

Amazing how fast that can happen, isn't it?

You're consistent with your posts, nutrition, training sessions, walks, ect, and then a vacation, event, or illness/injury happens and before you know it it's been a week, a month, a year of inconsistency.

It's frustrating.

You think of what you missed.
How far you could be if you hadn't stopped.

Each passing day of inaction makes takes action even harder.

But you can, and you must.

1 post.
1 focused meal.
1 training session scheduled.
1 walk, even if it's shorter than preferred.

Life is going to slap you in the ass.

Use it as momentum to create a great chapter in your story. 👊

We're not a powerlifting gym.
Or a bodybuilding gym.
Or a strongman gym.
Or a Crossfit box.

But....

We pull from all of them, because each type of training has incredible value and our goal is to seek the best of each that fits our needs to make our members the best versions of themselves.

To build muscles and bonedensity.
To reduce pain.
To limit fall potential.

To increase confidence in our bodies and minds.

Our goals are simple:

Build real strength for real like through consistent and prolonged efforts.

When you live in the northwoods, "preparing for tomorrow" is a key to long term success.

We split and stack wood in June to be warm in January.
We prepare and plant in spring so we have fresh food in Summer and Fall.

And at Country Strength we strength train consistently now so we're as strong and mobile as possible in the years to come.

In a world of instant gratification we live lives of practiced patience, understanding the work today will positively benefit our future experiences.

Split your wood, plant your seeds, and challenge your body.
