We're Ready to Dance

Tomorrow's Line Up & More!

Hello Dance Families,

We are so excited for our Spring Recital tomorrow and can't wait to celebrate all of the hard work our dancers have put in this season!

A few important reminders:

• Dancers should arrive at 11:00 AM and must be fully show-ready when they arrive (hair, makeup, tights, shoes, and costume requirements completed).

• Doors will open for guests at 11:30 AM.

• The recital begins at 12:00 PM.

• Tickets are $10 each. Please note that tickets must be purchased in advance here (https://www.burtondance.com/s/search?q=recital%20ticket) or paid for with cash at the door. We are unable to accept credit cards at the event.

• Siblings of dancers are admitted free of charge.

Attached is the recital lineup. Please review it carefully. If you notice any errors or have any questions, please let us know tonight so we can make any necessary corrections before the programs are printed tomorrow. Feel free to call or text me directly 440-204-8561.

Summer dance registration is officially open, and we’re excited to share everything we have planned.

Whether your dancer is just starting out or looking to build on their skills, our summer classes and performance opportunities are designed to keep them moving, growing, and confident all season long.

Try-It-Out Mini Sessions

This summer we will also be offering fun 2 week long mini dance sessions, perfect for dancers wanting to try something new before fall classes begin!

All sessions for ages 7 & up.

Acro
A fun blend of dance and tumbling that builds strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
July 14 & 21 • 5:00–5:45 PM

Jazz
An energetic dance style focused on movement, technique, performance, and upbeat choreography.
July 14 & 21 • 6:00–6:45 PM

Musical Theatre
Dance, acting, and performance all combined into one exciting class inspired by Broadway style movement.
July 28 & August 4 • 5:00–5:45 PM

Tap
A rhythmic style of dance that teaches timing, musicality, and fun footwork sounds.
July 28 & August 4 • 6:00–6:45 PM

Each mini session is $20.

Recital Reminders

Recital tickets are now available for $10, and dancer siblings attend for free. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as availability at the door will be limited and cash only.

If you still have an outstanding recital fee or costume invoice, please take a moment to complete those as soon as possible. Ordering early allows us time to handle any shipping delays or sizing needs so everything is ready for recital.

Summer Dance Sessions:

Creative Movement (Ages 3 to 5) : A playful introduction to dance focused on coordination, creativity, and building a love for movement.

Ballet Combo (Ages 6 to 9) : Learn foundational ballet technique while building strength, confidence, and musicality.

Technique (Ages 10 and up) : A focused class designed to strengthen technique, improve flexibility, and help dancers grow to the next level.

Dancers will learn a pom or twirl routine and perform in the Thompson 4th of July Parade.

Lake County Captains Game Performance
Dancers will train for 6 weeks and perform a hip hop routine at a Lake County Captains game.

Important Recital Information

It’s officially recital season!
We are just 7 weeks away, and it’s time to start finalizing plans for our Spring Recital. We are SO excited for this year’s show, themed Now That’s What I Call Dance!

Recital Location
This year we will be holding our recital at the Berkshire Schools Auditorium, the same location many of you are familiar with from previous performances.

Dress Rehearsal
Saturday, June 6th

Rehearsal will run from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Attendance is required for all dancers. Please arrive show ready, with hair and makeup completed.

Younger dancers will rehearse first and be dismissed early. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be shared in a separate email.

Recital Day
Sunday, June 7th

Costumes, Fees & Tickets
We will begin measuring dancers for costumes.

As with most dance events, there is a $50 recital participation fee per dancer. Invoices for both costumes and recital fees will be sent out shortly. Once your invoice is paid in full, your dancer’s costume will be ordered.

We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to guarantee your spot. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door (cash only). As always, siblings of dancers are free.

Extras We’re Excited About
We will have recital shirts available for purchase this year. These will be offered by pre-order only, and order forms will be shared soon.

We are also planning to offer photos of our dancers for a small fee for those interested. Additional details will be provided.

We are so excited for this event and can’t wait to see all of our dancers shine on stage!
