The Cardinal Huskies Track & Field team concluded an outstanding performance at the Division V Regional Championships this weekend. Competing against the best athletes in the region, our Huskies rose to the challenge.
We are excited to announce that Cardinal will be sending multiple athletes and a relay team to the OHSAA State Track & Field Championships, awarded to the top five finishers in each event.
STATE QUALIFIERS
Olivia Krebs qualified for the State Championships in two events, placing 3rd in the Shot Put with a throw of 38’0” and 5th in the Discus with a personal-best throw of 119’6”.
Mason Thistlethwaite earned a State Championship berth with a Regional Runner-Up finish in the 100 Meter Dash, crossing the line in 11.44.
The Boys 4x100 Meter Relay team of Joshua Miller, Tor Eastlake, Joey Komandt, and Mason Thistlethwaite delivered a great performance placing 3rd overall and qualified for the State Championships with a time of 44.07.
