Joseph Mayo: Low Spinner Lesson with Liam Robinson

Mayo Chipping setup:

2 rods
1st rod, Stand 10-12” from the ball aimed at the flag
Narrow Stance
stand 1” from rod
ball in the back of the stance
Stay Forward with head
2nd rod set up at an angle 4-6 inches in front of first rod; tilted
VSG: steep path/plane
Low Chip
Right Palm on the top of the grip; face down on back swing
Weight on the left foot
High Chip
Setup:
Open club face at address
Hands higher
Swing
High Right shoulder
High Right forearm
Body Move Forward
Thumb down
Close Blade
Shaft leaning forward

Nothing “shallow” about this swing at all. This video fixed my “yips”. Which Joe says it’s not the yips, it’s the lack of good technique. Probably the best video I’ve seen from Joe explaining how to hit a proper low/higher chip.
