Iluminar Aerial, based in Broomfield, is a professional aerial dance and circus arts company specializing in performance and education under the direction of Emmy and Travis Moon. Iluminar strives to move aerial dance into a respected and recognized dance genre by combining technical dance into the vertical space. Created in the summer of 2011, Iluminar provides an artistic outlet and community for artists to feed their passion in the art of aerial dance and circus arts.

Our dancers are officially becoming web spinners for *Coraline: An Aerial Adventure Beyond the Little Door*—**building, weaving, running, and transforming 500 feet of rope into one giant spider’s web, all during the performance.**

What begins as individual strands slowly comes together through the choreography itself until the dancers are moving with one massive web. 🕸️

✨ From **Through the Looking Glass**… to **Through the Little Door.** 🪞➡️🗝️

We’re diving back into the archives and revisiting one of our *Alice in Wonderland* pieces—this time transforming it into **The Tunnel** for *Coraline: An Aerial Adventure Beyond the Little Door*. 🖤

Some of the original choreography is staying, while other sections are being **restaged, reworked, and reimagined** to take us from Wonderland into the Other World. 🌀👁️🪡

We love getting to revisit past work and give it an entirely new life as part of our **15th Anniversary Season**.

.✨ Watching confidence take flight is one of our favorite parts of summer. ✨

Our Swiftie Sorcery Aerial Performance Camp was so much more than learning tricks in the air—it was about finding courage, discovering creativity, and believing in yourself.

Over just one week, we watched campers who were shy on Monday step onto the stage by Friday with smiles that lit up the room. We saw friendships blossom, fears overcome, and confidence grow with every climb, spin, and performance.

There's something truly magical about giving children a safe place to express themselves, try something new, and realize they're capable of more than they ever imagined.

💜👑 Rotten to the core... and soaring through the air! ✨

Our Descendants Aerial Performance Camp was easily one of our favorite new themes of the summer! From learning exciting aerial skills and dancing to iconic Descendants-inspired music to playing themed games, and performing an unforgettable show for their families, this week was pure magic.

Seeing these campers step into the worlds of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost while building confidence, creativity, and friendships made this camp so special. 💚💙❤️

Who else thinks Descendants needs to become a permanent camp theme? 🙋‍♀️

Thank you to all of our amazing campers for making this week one we'll never forget! We already can't wait to bring this adventure back.

⚔️🎤 K-Pop Demon Hunters took over The Apollo Center last month! 💥

Our campers trained like true demon hunters—flying through the air, learning aerial skills, dancing to K-pop-inspired choreography, playing themed games, and bringing their own epic adventure to life by the end of the week. We had an absolute blast watching these incredible performers grow in confidence, make new friends, and shine on stage!

🌜✨ 15 Years of Iluminar Aerial ✨🌛

June 20th, 2011-Iluminar Aerial began with a dream. What started as a small vision has grown into a thriving community of artists, dancers, performers, dreamers, and families who have filled our space with creativity, courage, and connection.

Over the last 15 years, we've had the privilege of teaching thousands of students, producing countless performances, creating unforgettable memories, and watching young people grow not only as aerialists, but as confident and capable humans.

To our students—thank you for trusting us with your growth.

To our families—thank you for your endless support.

To our coaches, staff, directors, choreographers, and collaborators—thank you for helping bring our vision to life.

To our professional and youth company members, both past and present—thank you for inspiring us with your artistry, dedication, and passion.

Fifteen years later, we are still doing what we love: creating opportunities for people to discover their strength, tell stories through movement, and experience the joy of flight.

✨ Summer has officially started with a bang! ✨

We're a little late posting, but we couldn't let our first week of summer camps go by without celebrating all the magic that happened during our **Witches & Wizards Academy Aerial Performance Camp!** 🧙‍♀️⚡🧹

From flying through the air like young witches and wizards to creating an original performance under the stage lights, these campers worked hard, made new friends, learned incredible aerial skills, and brought so much creativity and imagination to the studio.

Join Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and all their friends for a week of aerial adventures, themed games, creative activities, choreography, and performance fun!

Campers will learn aerial skills on silks, sling, lyra, trapeze, and more while creating an original Toy Story-inspired performance to share with family and friends under the stage lights at the end of the week.

What a way to close out the season! ✨

Over the past three weeks, our youth companies took the stage with three completely unique productions created through imagination, collaboration, and a whole lot of hard work.

📚 Dr. Seuss Stories performed by Stars Company
🌹 Beauty and the Beast performed by Flyers Company
🔥 Campfire Stories performed by TOO Company

From whimsical adventures and classic fairytales to spooky urban legends, our performers spent hours creating, rehearsing, and bringing these stories to life. These end-of-season productions are a special opportunity for our dancers to explore storytelling, character development, choreography, and theatrical performance while building confidence both on the ground and in the air.

Thank you to our families, directors, coaches, and choreographers for helping make this season such a success. ❤️
