For his 12th birthday this weekend, one of our students asked for a 12-minute shark tank. Fresh partners rotating in, one after another, no rest, for twelve straight minutes. It's one of the hardest things you can do on the mat.

That's the real lesson of jiu-jitsu. Learning to keep going when things get hard and about becoming a better version of yourself than you were yesterday. That's a mindset that follows a kid off the mat and into everything else they do.
