Proud to say that my truck was the 1st pro truck to see this race track in over a decade!
We came prepared to win, unloaded pretty fast, and just went backwards all day Friday.
Took alot of data friday, and between the end of practice friday night, and the start of the Saturday afternoon practice, we made changes that would've only worked for the better.
Had a team of people there helping me, had fresh tires, and the confidence of a Nascar driver, but the good lord had other plans.
I made a minor miscalculation that costed us the night.
The (BRAND NEW) driveshaft made contact with the frame tie under the car and ripped the transmission off of the bellhousing and pretty much destroyed the interior driveshaft tunnel.
It was not a complete failure of a weekend though, we were pretty quick and would've definitely had a top 5 truck.
What'd we learn from this? Enough to have a winning truck next time. (Hopefully Orlando Speedworld Circle Track has a next time)
My deepest apologies go to the ones that help got me here:
United Speed World
American Grading & Recycling ♻️
Brandon Wolfanger
Brad Lyon
Joseph Weiss
Corey Cashman
Shawn Danielle Bailey
Mike and Taylor Kohut and of course Jace
Larry Welter and his boys
Ryan Hinote and Heath Hinote
We'll be ready for the next one. The biggest problem we have is this is and old truck. 28 years since it seen the track before I purchased it.
Would it have been better or cheaper to buy a new chassis? Probably, but this was a good straight truck that someone left in the weeds.
It was fast in its day, shes just got to find it again.
