Race recap:
Friday practice opted out. Decided to spend the night doing a once over on the salty Kiefer.
Saturday night, missed 1st practice.
Was 4th fastest on 2 year old tires.
Didn't have to touch the car, felt pretty dam good.
Cwr seemed very balanced, definitely cracked the egg shell this car had on it.
Qualified 4th with a 15.378. Bolted the tires we bought for the jeff warren race. 100+ laps on them, not great but better then the practice tires. Was pleased with the results, especially since most qualified on stickers.
Feature racing,
Had a top 5 car all night, tbh started wearing myself out around lap 25 or so.
The car handled great.
The restartafter the red flag allowed the tires to cool enough, and the car became real racy again.
Got sent to the rear along with another driver because he thought it was a good idea to turn left right into me. Then proceeded to swipe my nose under caution right in front of the track director and official on the back stretch. Of course, nothing was done.
Before that, I was peeking 3rd.
It wasn't going to come easy so I tightened my belts "as Carsen big hands would say" lol.
Overall, pleased with my geometric setup and the car, pleased with the opportunity Shelby Brandon Wolfanger to drive the car.
Wish it could've transpired into something in the end.
