Bruin Football (Bhhs Gridiron) was honored with the Sportsmanship Award by the Southwestern Oregon Officials Association.

The award was presented to Head Coach Shaun Bavaro and Athletic Director Keith Wallin by Commissioner Glenn Koepnick during tonight’s home game.

Congratulations to our Bruin Football program on this well-deserved recognition.

Last night we held our first team dinner of the season, where each student-athlete committed to our 2025 Pillars of Character: Legacy, Passion, Respect, Sacrifice, and Trust. After the captains introduced the Pillars, players shared dinner with their families and discussed what the values meant to them. Each athlete then chose a personal Pillar to focus on this year and received a wristband as a daily reminder.

Keep an eye on this page as we’ll be highlighting players who exemplify these values on and off the field throughout the season. We are excited about what this team can accomplish this year, and our first test comes tonight in Sutherlin at the Jamboree—GO BRUINS!
