Hundreds of runners take to the Brookings streets for the 56th running of the Brookings Marathon Saturday.
Congratulations to:
• Marathon winners Caleb Sayler, 23, of Lennox, 2:40:11, and Amber Kirkvold, 38, of Crooks, 3:01:56;
• Half marathon winners Gabe Peters, 26, of Sioux Falls, 1:16:49, and Kristin Marso, 31, of Boston, 1:24:36; and
• Relay winners All in the Family from Sioux Falls, 2:57:07;
• Race director Dani Bohn, whose job is an ultramarathon of its own;
• the hundreds of volunteers needed to stage such an event, and
• the Brookings community for sharing its streets and lending its support and enthusiasm to a great event.
