Odell fishing report -June 16, 2026

Water temp 56 *F
No wind glass conditions
Speed 1.0-1.2 mph
Depth 100-110’ on wire
Corn scent - tuna anise and tuna garlic

Hit the water at 530 am. No wind. Pure glass on the water. Beautiful morning to be fishing.

Started on the west end. Then headed to princess. No bites. Didn’t see a lot of fish. Moved east from princess and started locating fish. But nothing of any size.

The bite was slow. Started finding small fish 60-80’ on wire. Finally found consistent schools east of princess in 150-200’ of water.

Lots of fish, slow bite and no consistency on what color they wanted.

We managed to scratch 24 fish. Bigger fish seemed to be hard to find today.

The highlight of the day was a 14 # Mack that deep throated a kok while reeling it in. Total surprise.

Used every color in the book that Kokaneekid Fishing offers. Pink twisted hoochie on a gold arrow flash with moon jelly wings was probably to top producer today.

Headed to Wallowa Lake for Cross the Divide tournament this weekend.

Tight lines!

Odell Lake fishing report - June 12.2026

Speed-1.2 mph
Water temp-52.5
Depth- 100-110’ on the wire. Lots of small fish (8”) in the 60’ column but tried to stay out of those ones.
Corn: tuna oil/garlic and Anise with tuna oil.

Gear used: Arrow flash dodgers: Orange crush, solid gold, silver with moon jelly wings.

Kokanee kid fishing tackle: black mesquito with gold blade, orange twisted hoochie, orange super mysis.

Beautiful morning at Odell. The bite was slower than last few days but consistent for much of the day.

I found fish more towards the east end and middle of the lake.

There were fish caught in the west end and then later in the morning in front of princess.

Schools have really started to spread out and move around.

Today’s bite was mainly an orange bite. Anything orange seemed to be very good.

We boated 43 fish of decent size for this year so far. Had a Mack grab a kok while we were reeling it in. That was wild as all the sudden the rod just doubled over like we snagged something. Got the kok in with teeth marks all over it and no Mack. Excitement for a minute.

Weather is finally starting to get nice so time to get out and get your limit(s) of Kokanee.

Tight lines.

Shelter Cove Resort & Marina

Fun Fact: Did you know Shelter Cove Resort & Marina was once called Odell Summit Lodge? 🏔️ Back in November 1971, a fire sadly destroyed the original lodge, leading to a temporary closure of the resort. But from those ashes, we became the Shelter Cove you know and love today! 🌲✨

Odell fishing report -June 7, 2026

Depth: 65-100’ on the wire.
Set back 5’
Water temp (surface) 52 *F
Speed 1-1.1 mph

Woke up to ice on everything and a balmy 34 degrees outside. Trolling is picking up with water temps in low 50s. Fish are scattered in smaller schools currently.

I have found good schools of koks from 65’ down to 100’. If I start seeing smaller fish (d***s) coming into the boat I will drop 10’-20’ further down in the column and that usually produces larger fish. These deeper fish aren’t showing up real well on the live scope, but they are there and biting consistently.

Today’s bite was very good from 7-10 am. Very aggressive bite. Trolling speed 1-1.1 seemed to do the trick. Faster and the fish were not hooking up. Started at 65’ on the wire early and around 8 am, I was picking up decent fish at 100’ on the wire.

The set up that worked best for me today was Kokanee kid pink twisted hoochie tipped with tuna/garlic corn. I used a gold arrow flash dodger with moon jelly wings.

Orange/black super mysis with gold blade tipped with tuna/anise corn was the second best producer today. I used an all gold arrow flash dodger with this set up.

I left the dock a little later than usual this morning. Leaving at 6 am. By 1030 we had what we thought was a limit. After getting to the dock, we were missing 1 fish. I will go with the bald eagle 🦅 stole our 25th fish.

Bit windy today. Managed to pull 18 out of the lake on a slow bite. Kokanee kid black mosquito (mysis) and pink twisted hoochie coupled with gold dodger got the best results fishing 50-100’ down on the wire. A bit spread out today in the column.
