🎶MEET OUR NEW DIRECTOR🎶

Mary Lynn Wooldridge grew up in Sylacauga, Alabama and graduated from Fayetteville High School. She moved to Mississippi in 2018 to attend Belhaven University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education.

Throughout her studies at Belhaven, Mrs. Wooldridge was actively involved in a variety of ensembles including the Blazer Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Winds, Piano Chamber Ensemble, Worship Choir, and Orchestra.

For the past four years, Mrs. Wooldridge has served as Director of Bands at Parklane Academy. In this role, she has instructed the concert bands for grades 5–12 and directed the Pioneer Marching Band, which has consistently earned all-superior ratings.

She is married to Rev. Hunter Wooldridge and they have two cats named Panda and Stinky.

Mrs. Wooldridge is excited to join the Ole Brook family and is grateful to God for the opportunity to continue her career in music education.

As our new assistant band director, Mrs. Wooldridge will help us revitalize our beginning band program at Lipsey, direct one of our junior high bands, and assist with rehearsals at BHS. We are so excited to welcome her to the family!

A huge congratulations to ALL of our Ole Brook Bands concert ensembles on some fantastic performances to end the week!

The 7th and 8th Grade Bands put on quite the show on Thursday, including a combined 7th and 8th grade marching band performance. On Friday, the Wind Ensemble and the Concert Band performed at the Central Mississippi Concert Festival, held at Ridgeland High School, and both ensembles received Excellent ratings in concert and sight reading.

Make plans to attend our upcoming performances!

BHS Band Boosters page for the Pride of Ole Brook BHS Marching Band in Brookhaven, MS

This is the official page run by the BHS Band Boosters for Brookhaven High School. We will be from here on out, using this page to keep parents and students informed to the best of our abilities, working as a Board, and in cooperation with Mr. Andrew Bonner, head director for the BHS Band, and Brookhaven School officials.

We are so excited to serve as your Band Booster Board, and will be doing our best to keep you informed. To cut down on unnecessary confusion, we will be monitoring this page closely, and approving all posts before they are allowed to be posted on the page. This way, incorrect information is kept off the page, and we can be sure that only correct info is shared. If you have questions, PLEASE use the message feature included on the page! We will respond as quickly as possible to any messages we receive.

Please feel free to post pictures and positive reinforcement for our students on this page. Just please understand that it may be a few minutes before we can approve posts, as we are all serving in a volunteer capacity, and have jobs and families outside of Boosters!
