One of my favorite things about our homeschool karate program is that the kids don’t just come in, take class, and leave.

They get to know each other.

They cheer for each other.

They grow up together.

And every once in a while, it’s fun to step outside the regular class routine and just enjoy being together.

That’s what our Homeschool Buddy Bash is about.

On September 23rd, we’re meeting at Valentin Karate in Plantsville for a morning with karate, bounce houses, snacks, and plenty of time to hang out.

If you’ve been curious about our homeschool program, this is such an easy way to come meet us without feeling like you’re walking into a formal first class. Just come spend some time with us, let your kids have fun, and get a feel for the people and the program.

You do not have to already be part of Valentin Karate.

Bring your kids. Bring a friend. Parents are welcome too.

Seriously. This is one of my absolute favorite ages to teach.

Our younger karate classes are built for the way little kids actually learn. We move. We play. We practice. We repeat things in different ways. And underneath all that fun, we’re working on some really important stuff.

Focus. Listening. Memory. Balance and coordination. Self-control. Following directions. Confidence. Learning how to keep trying when something is hard.

I’m an early childhood educator as well as a karate instructor, so this age group is very much my jam. ❤️ I don’t expect a 4-year-old to behave like an 8-year-old. I want to meet them where they are and help them grow from there.

And yes—they learn real karate too!

We have openings right now for homeschoolers ages 4–6 in Bristol.

Black belt test #1 complete! These two gentlemen are both in their 70s and they absolutely left it all on the mat tonight during their test! They rocked it!

Test #2 is tomorrow morning at 10 am!
