Today, on Memorial Day, Valentin Karate joins our families and community in honoring and remembering the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸
Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our freedom will never be forgotten. We are forever grateful. We honor and remember their sacrifice.
Poppies are a symbol of remembrance and sacrifice that originated in WWI. Lt Col John McCrae wrote:
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
