USAC East Coast Charges Back to Selinsgrove Friday Night
The roar from last weekend’s spectacular feature at Selinsgrove Speedway & Raceway Park has barely faded, and the stars of the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars are already preparing for another showdown this Friday night at the famed half-mile oval.
Fans are still buzzing about an unforgettable battle for the win that saw Christian Bruno charge from the eighth starting position to Victory Lane. Bruno tracked down race leader Steven Drevicki in the closing stages and made the winning pass with just four laps remaining after a spectacular duel through heavy lap traffic. The pair put on a show for the Selinsgrove faithful, at one point racing four-wide as they sliced through slower cars in a breathtaking display of wingless sprint car racing.
The victory also propelled Bruno to the top of the USAC East Coast championship standings, overtaking Drevicki in the process. Drevicki now sits in pursuit, while Kenny Miller III remains firmly in the title hunt as the season continues to heat up.
Several drivers will be looking to improve upon their performances from last weekend. Ronald Helmick turned heads with a career-best effort at Selinsgrove, showcasing impressive speed in his first appearance at the Snyder County facility. Ed Aikin led the field to green and spent much of the early portion of the race among the frontrunners before ultimately finishing seventh. Meanwhile, Kyle Spence showed plenty of promise aboard the Fraker-owned No. 42 and will be searching for an even stronger result this time around. A handful of additional teams and drivers are expected to join an already stout field, adding even more intrigue to Friday night’s event.
With the dust barely settled from one of the season’s most exciting races, the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars presented by Baer Den Farms are ready to saddle back up and do it all again.
Joining the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars on the card will be the 305 Winged Sprint Cars and the Limited Late Models, creating a three-division program packed with excitement from start to finish.
If last Saturday was any indication, fans will want to arrive early and buckle up for another thrilling night of side-by-side racing at Selinsgrove Speedway. With championship momentum on the line and a field hungry for redemption, Friday night promises to be another can’t-miss chapter in the 2026 USAC East Coast season.
