‼️Important Notice‼️
We wanted to avoid this, but unfortunately, we must begin enforcing a cancellation fee due to the recent number of cancellations. I work a full-time job myself and understand the daily challenges we all face.

If you cannot make it to your scheduled lesson, please allow us at least 48 hours' notice. This will enable us to attempt to fill that time slot. No-shows will be counted as cancellations.

SAME DAY OR 24 HOUR CANCELLATIONS:
Policy as follows:
1st Offense: You will receive a warning.
2nd Offense: You must pay 50% of the lesson fee.
3rd Offense: You must pay 100% of the lesson fee and will be required to pay for lessons upon scheduling the next lesson. This is non-refundable if any future lessons are cancelled.

LATE ARRIVAL
I do my best to accommodate late arrivals as much as possible, but if lessons are stacked back-to-back, I am not able to do so.

Lesson slots are booked in 1-hour slots.
Example: 4:30-5:30 booking - If you arrive at 4:45, you will only have until 5:30 for the remainder of your lesson.

PRICING
Lesson costs vary due to each arena having different arena fees for using them. I build the arena fee into my lesson cost to keep prices down for riders. Lesson prices may vary when behavioral or abnormal circumstances with the horse occur. This is always discussed beforehand.

Training rides are different from lessons.

Arenas 30 minutes out of range from my barn in Boyce, VA are subject to a fuel charge.

HELMETS
All riders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet regardless of arena location.

These clinics are for any and all riders with all levels of horses to come enjoy a laid back evening on nice cattle in a learning environment with a competitive edge to it!

We will work on getting cattle out of the herd making precision cuts, communication with team members, how to keep our cattle on the wall to get them to the hole, maneuvers to make our horses competition ready.

Great event for new rider to cattle or exposing a young horse

This event is starting in the evening in hopes that it provides a cooler environment for the cattle. Safety and welfare of the cattle come first!

Please share these kind of opportunities to ride in cattle are rare!

The dog days of summer are nearly here.

As the hot weather approaches dont forget that if humans need to be conditioned to work in different elements so do our horses!

These first few brutal days should be a slower paced work out and then step your horses back into normal schedule over a couple days. If you plan to show in the heat, make sure to work them in the heat too. This is often a component that people forget about.

With hot weather comes hard ground. Be mindful of the exercise we are doing with our equine partners on different surfaces. Make accommodations for hard ground if you dont have an arena like changing the type of exercise, putting shoes on, or adding pads, etc

Keep your horses hydrated and the rider hydrated

Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced rider wanting to improve your skills, I am currently accepting a limited number of lesson students.

For over a decade, I have trained horses and riders, managed large training programs, and worked alongside some of the best horsemen in the industry. My passion is helping riders develop confidence, feel safe in the saddle, and become true horsemen—not just riders.
