RTD is considering some service changes along US 36.

Have thoughts on local transit service? RTD is proposing more frequent AB bus service between Boulder and Denver International Airport as part of its January 2027 service changes.

The proposed changes would mean more opportunities to ride the Flatiron Flyer, including more frequent AB1 service to Downtown Boulder Station and hourly AB2 service to Boulder Junction. Together, these changes would improve connections along the US 36 corridor.

Commuting Solutions encourages riders and community members to share their feedback and support more frequent AB service!

Join a virtual public meeting on October 27 or 28 at 5:30 p.m., or attend a noon Ask a Service Planner session to get your questions answered.

The Longmont Bikeway is going to improve bike commuting along Hwy 119

A better-connected Boulder County is on the horizon. The CO 119 Safety, Mobility and Bikeway project is working to improve travel between Boulder and Longmont, with upgrades designed to make the corridor safer and more reliable for everyone.

With traffic on the Diagonal Highway expected to increase by 25% by 2040, expanding transportation options is an important part of planning for the region’s future. The project will bring improvements for people driving, taking transit, biking and traveling through the corridor.

The bikeway isn’t open yet, but it’s one to keep an eye on as work continues to improve connections between our communities.

Help shape a safer, more connected South Boulder Road! 🚗🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚌

Boulder County, in partnership with the cities of Boulder, Louisville and Lafayette, is studying ways to make South Boulder Road safer and easier to use for people walking, bicycling, taking transit and driving, or using mobility devices. The study builds on earlier planning efforts and community input.

🚲 STOLEN BIKES RECOVERED IN BOULDER!

Good news for Boulder’s cycling community! Boulder Police have recovered nearly a dozen high-end bikes and scooters and arrested three people in connection with a theft investigation.

Police are asking the public to check the recovered bikes in case any belong to them.

🔐 Help protect your bike:
✅ Register it with Bike Index.
✅ Record your bike’s serial number.
✅ Take photos to help prove ownership.
✅ Use strong locks when securing your bike.

If your bike has been stolen, make sure the theft is reported. Registration can help police reunite recovered bikes with their owners.

🚨 What if a fatal crash triggered immediate action to make a street safer?

In Spokane, Washington, the Emergency Streets pilot program brings temporary traffic-calming measures to the site of a fatal crash within 72 hours.

🚧 Crews may install traffic cones, bright pink signs, speed-feedback displays and temporary lane closures to encourage drivers to slow down.

The measures stay in place for about two weeks while the city monitors traffic speeds, gathers data and seeks community feedback.

The goal? Take immediate action to reduce risk while longer-term safety improvements are considered.
