We’re excited for our fourth-annual Boulderthon Kids Run, presented by Boulder Country Day School! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💛

In this video, Boulder Country Day shares some of the benefits their cross country program brings to students, from building friendships and spending time outside to simply getting their bodies moving.

We love seeing the next generation discover just how fun running can be. 🌿👟

We can’t wait to see our youngest runners out there on race day!

Running consistently does more than build endurance. It trains your heart, too. ❤️🏃

Over time, regular running can help strengthen your heart muscle, improve circulation, support healthy blood pressure, and make your cardiovascular system more efficient at delivering oxygen throughout your body.

You don’t have to run faster or farther every time to see the benefits. Consistency is what counts.

Every run is an investment in your heart health, one mile at a time.

We’re proud to have Boulder Community Health sponsor the Heart to Heart 5K at Boulderthon. BCH’s Boulder Heart is the area’s only full-service cardiology program, providing everything from diagnostic testing to advanced lifesaving treatments.

Here’s to healthy hearts and many more miles ahead. ❤️

Your resting heart rate isn’t a score you need to “win.”

A lower number isn’t automatically better, and a higher number doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong. Resting heart rate can vary based on fitness level, stress, sleep, hydration, medications, hormones, and more.

What does matter is giving your heart regular opportunities to work. Consistent exercise that safely raises your heart rate can strengthen your heart, improve cardiovascular fitness, and support your overall health.

It’s not about chasing the lowest resting heart rate. It’s about building a stronger, healthier heart over time. ❤️

We know summer training is brutal, but necessary.

To those of you in the thick of it, just remember the hard training right now makes for an easy fall race later (it’s us, we’re the fall race).

Boulderthon is giving back to the place we’re proud to run, train, and call home. 💚
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’re matching donations up to $50,000 to help fund the restoration of Tom Watson Park in Boulder.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every donation helps support a space our community can enjoy for years to come, and right now, your impact can go twice as far.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔗 Donate through the link in our bio and help us show up for Boulder beyond race day.

Not every ache or pain needs emergency care, but some injuries shouldn’t be ignored.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Chelsea Holt, PT, DPT, of CU Sports Medicine & Performance Center shares how to tell when it’s time to see a physical therapist. Persistent pain, swelling, limited mobility, weakness, or an injury that’s keeping you from doing the activities you love are all signs it’s worth getting evaluated.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The sooner you understand what’s going on, the sooner you can start the right treatment and get back to moving with confidence. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait for it to become a bigger problem. 💪

Heart health doesn’t take the summer off, but your workout might need a few adjustments. ☀️❤️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dr. Robert Shapiro, interventional cardiologist at Boulder Heart, shares his top tips for staying active while protecting your heart during hot weather.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hydrate before you head out, exercise during the cooler parts of the day, listen to your body, and don’t ignore symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, or unusual shortness of breath.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A few simple precautions can help you enjoy your favorite summer activities safely. Save this post for your next outdoor workout and share it with a friend who’s training in the heat. 💙
