⭐️Parents, here’s one thing you can do today that will immediately elevate your daughters recruiting process -

👉 Help her create a recruiting-specific email address.

Not yours. Not her school one.

One that looks like this:

firstname.lastname.gradyear@gmail

Why this matters:

• It signals professionalism to college coaches
• It keeps all recruiting communication organized
• It teaches her ownership of the process
• It avoids missed emails buried in school inboxes

Recruiting is evaluation, on and off the water.

Coaches notice details.

And here’s the bigger picture:

When she takes responsibility for communication, she starts stepping into the level required to row in college.

Small action. Big signal.

If you’re not sure what comes after the email setup, DM me “PLAN” and I’ll point you in the right direction.

Important Women’s D1 Rowing recruiting reminder!

D1 coaches cannot respond to recruiting communication from 12/22–1/2.

During this NCAA dead period / holiday shutdown, coaches are not permitted to reply to emails, calls, or messages from prospects. Silence during this window does not indicate lack of interest, it is simply an NCAA rule.

Best practice:
• Send outreach emails by 12/20, or
• Wait until 1/3, when coaches are allowed to respond again

Messages sent during the shutdown often get buried and may not receive a reply once the period ends.

Recruiting success depends on both content and timing. Knowing the rules helps athletes communicate strategically and with confidence.

Unsure how to time your outreach?
