Third Coast Runners Celebrate Global Run Day with a Floaty 5K
On Global Run Day, the Third Coast Runners traded their usual race gear for colorful pool floaties and plenty of smiles as they gathered for a fun-filled Floaty 5K at Fort Travis. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities came together to celebrate the joy of movement, friendship, and the start of summer running season.
Participants completed the course carrying everything from flamingos and donuts to giant inner tubes, creating a festive atmosphere that drew plenty of laughs and encouragement along the route. The event highlighted what the running community is all aboutโhaving fun, staying active, and supporting one another.
โAny day you get to run is a good day.โ
โRunning is more than milesโitโs about community, friendship, and showing up for each other.โ
โThe best pace is the one that keeps you moving forward.โ
The Floaty 5K was a reminder that running doesnโt always have to be serious. Sometimes the best memories are made when people come together, have fun, and celebrate the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other.
Third Coast Runners looks forward to many more group runs this summer and welcomes anyone interested in joining future events. Whether youโre a seasoned runner, a beginner, or simply enjoy a good walk, thereโs a place for everyone on the team. ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ฆฉ
