“This was our second year partnering with the Virginia Blue Ridge Team for the AFCC and it gets better every year! It is such a natural fit with our values at Deloitte where we have championed investment in women’s sports through sponsorships like the Athena Pledge, the Olympics, and the SheBelieves summit with the U.S. Women’s National Team (soccer). The real highlight for me though is the opportunity to see my 7-year-old daughter inspired in real-time by the wonderful women racing their hearts out for each other. She said to someone on Sunday that she wants to be a professional bike racer and the first thing she did when we got home was ride her bike. That’s “She Believes” coming to life! If she ever does take the starting line in a bike race, I’ll have that picture of her beaming next to a smiling Marlies ready to show off to whoever is standing next to me watching!”

“Armed Forces was a fast weekend of racing and my first time back with a full crit squad since this race last year. It was especially exciting to see Marlies come away with the omnium win after earning second place on both days against a stacked international field of experienced riders. Weekends like this are a great reminder of how rewarding team racing can be.” Ella

The Clarendon Cup is one of the most technical and intense races on the calendar 60 laps and approximately 50K of full-gas racing, surrounded by incredible crowds and a fantastic Arlington atmosphere. Once again, the team raced with commitment and control, working hard from the start and giving everything to put themselves in position for the win. While we didn’t execute the finish perfectly, the effort and teamwork were clear throughout the day. Kendall Ryan took a powerful and emotional victory, made even more meaningful by the recent passing of her grandfather. We send our sincere condolences to Kendall and her family, and we were moved to see her honor him with such a special win.
