Wilde Ving Tsun Association Traditional Ip Man Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung-Fu. Sifu Jeff is certified instructor in the Ip Ching Athletic Association

Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) is a principle-based martial art that applies simplicity and efficiency to combat. Around 300 years old, Ving Tsun is named after one of its first student (a female), Yim Wing Chun. The concept of "principle-based" allows the system to conform to the practitioner rather than the practitioner conforming to the system. This principle-based practice is what makes the system truly an art.

Sifu Jeff and Neil posing in their class shirts.

Neil was Sifu Jeff's main instructor when he started back in 2003. And then life happened and Neil wasn't able to come to class very much while Sifu Jeff continued to train and eventually became a Sifu. Neil has been very supportive of Sifu Jeff's progress and journey and he always comes to class with a positive attitude and a willingness to train with anyone and everyone.

Sifu Jeff got Neil a class shirt in a appreciation for being a great Kung-Fu brother and friend.

We had a great class last night reviewing stepping forwards and backwards with techniques like Bong-Sau and Biu-Sau. Sifu Jeff was asked if our footwork worked on surfaces other than wood floors. So we went outside and Sifu Jeff demonstrated that our footwork is very versatile, stable and powerful even on cracked and disintegrating asphalt.

And then we had a drawing to give away all of the VT themed gifts that Sifu Jeff got to celebrate International Ving Tsun Day.

Sifu Jeff loved the energy, effort, progress and attitude of everyone.

Today is the 6th anniversary of Ip Ching's passing. He was an amazing man and Kung-Fu practitioner. Meeting and being able to learn from him changed Sifu Jeff's Kung-Fu journey for the better.

Sifu Jeff went to Hong-Kong 2012 - 2016 and 2018. He was able to attend 4 seminars with Ip Ching, 2 in 2012 and 2 in 2013 before Ip Ching retired from giving seminars. This picture is from the very first seminar with Ip Ching in 2012.
