One of the greatest gifts horses offer us is the opportunity to be chosen.

Not controlled.
Not obeyed.
Not trained into compliance.

Chosen.

A horse who is free to leave but stays.
A horse who can say no but says yes.
A horse who trusts you enough to seek your company when nothing is required of them.

In a world that often measures relationships by what we can get from one another, horses invite us into something different. They ask us to become someone worth being with.

When we stop focusing on how to make a horse do something and begin wondering how a horse experiences us, everything changes.

The question shifts from:

“How do I get my horse to cooperate?”

to

“What kind of presence am I bringing into this relationship?”

The most meaningful partnerships are not built through power.

They are built through trust.

And trust is never taken.

It is given.

That may be one of the most beautiful lessons horses have to teach us.

The June 30 deadline to submit your Color Bonus Eligibility Declaration is approaching.

Horses approved as Color Bonus Eligible by the end of the current Paynt Points period can earn Color Bonus payouts in addition to their regular Paynt Points earnings.

To qualify, horses must have at least 12 inches of continuous white markings visible from a normal standing position and located within the qualifying zone outlined in APHA Rule RG-070.
