WORLD DEAF SILVER MEDALISTS π₯
We are beyond thrilled to be bringing home the silver medal back home to Canada! π¨π¦
Thank you to , the ice technicians, volunteers, umpires, and the host committee in Blaine, MN, for all the hard work you put in to make this event possible!
To our families, thank you so much for your endless support! We loved seeing some familiar faces in the stands cheering us on! π
To our coach, Mary Anne, thank you so much for all the time you dedicated to coach us, time spent to do training weekends, and believe in us! We couldnβt have done this without your support. β₯οΈ
To our interpreter, Angie, thank you so much for being our personal cheerleaders! You celebrated the highs and lows with us. We appreciate you interpreting all the funny sayings or motivational quotes Mary Anne comes up with and ensuring we understand what is being communicated without our hearing aides on the ice between the coach and us! π€
To our sponsors, thank you for all your support! We have travelled to Edmonton twice, and to Winnipeg once to train together for this championships Without your financial support, we wouldnβt have been able to come together to train when weβre an interprovincial team. Weβre forever grateful to each of you! ππ»
To our competitors, it was so wonderful to see all your bright faces again after 4 years! Team China, congratulations on winning the gold medal! You gave us a great game!
Lastly, to everyone who cheered loudly for us back home - THANK YOU! Weβve felt all the love β€οΈ Many of you know our story of competing in the last World Deaf Curling Championships in 2021 that fell short as we had a forfeit the gold medal game due to our team catching COVID-19. We are so incredibly proud to have made the gold medal game again in 2025, and to have been able to play!!!
We will be celebrating & preparing for the next Deaflympics!
Xoxo, Team Canada π¨π¦
