At a press conference this morning, the club's owner, Dr. Bill McGuire, announced that Minnesota Stars FC has rebranded as Minnesota United FC. Please be sure to like the club's new page, and check in there soon for photos and video of today's press event at Midtown GlobalMarket. Thanks to everyone who braved the snow this morning to make our launch event such a great success. 2013 is going to be an exciting year!

Forward Max Griffin, pictured with the ball, has signed with the club. The Californian has scored 27 goals in his first three pro seasons and was the 2010 USSF Rookie of the Year with the Austin Aztex before spending two seasons with Orlando City and the LA Blues (on loan) in USLPro. He signed a two year contract this morning, then scored four goals in scrimmages during his first day of training. Welcome to the club, Max!
