đź’™ HONORING OUR HISTORY, HONORING OUR ANCESTORS đź’™

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we also take time to remember the generations of African ancestors whose labor, resilience, creativity, and sacrifice helped shape the world we live in today.

One powerful symbol of that history is indigo. Enslaved Africans worked tirelessly on indigo plantations throughout the Americas, often under brutal conditions. Yet despite unimaginable hardships, they carried forward traditions, knowledge, culture, and strength that continue to influence us today.

At Dancing with D, we believe it is important to learn our history, honor those who came before us, and ensure their stories are never forgotten. Remembering our ancestors is not just about looking back—it is about understanding the foundation they built and celebrating the resilience that lives within our communities today.

DANCING WITH D SUMMER INTENSIVE PROGRAM

Ready to take your dancing to the next level?

Join us for our Summer Intensive Program running from July 30 – August 28 as we prepare for an exciting and successful 2026-2027 Competition Season!

• 2 Classes Per Week
• 2 Hours Per Class

During our Summer Intensive, dancers will focus on:

✨ Technique Development
✨ Flexibility & Conditioning
✨ Turns, Leaps & Jumps
✨ Performance Quality
✨ Musicality & Choreography
✨ Team Building
✨ Competition Preparation
✨ Strength, Stamina & Confidence Training

This program is designed for dancers interested in competing during the upcoming season and will help build the skills, discipline, and confidence needed for a productive and successful year.

All dancers interested in joining our 2026-2027 Competition Team must attend auditions.

Attention Dance Parents & Dancers,

Starting Monday, June 1st, attendance will be taken very seriously as we prepare for recital and summer performances. Any dancer who misses TWO or more classes from this point forward WILL NOT be permitted to perform in the recital or participate in any summer events.

We are entering crunch time, and every rehearsal is important for spacing, formations, cleaning routines, and overall performance quality. Please make sure dancers are arriving on time and attending all scheduled classes.

Thank you for understanding and helping us make these performances the best they can be!
