This week was a blast! Rough Country had the pleasure of taking the nephew of one of its own Maine Guides: Jacob Bland.

But hey, that’s just an excuse to come back!!! Jacob took the time to learn every dogs name, fed and watered them every day, and helped care for them. Thank you to Jacob and the entire Bland Family for such an awesome week!

Congratulations Jacob Bland!!! Jacob came all the way from NJ to harvest his 1st Maine Black Bear! Zoey made quick work of putting this boar in the tree and Jacob made a perfect shot on it. Great work Jacob!! And thanks for the help dragging. Now for that partridge that keeps getting away…..

Some fun with the young dogs this week. Put them down on a strike and Susie took off like a rocket put it in the wood all by herself! No one could catch up to her, but they did enjoy looking up at it once they finally got there.
