No current. 84° water. 60 feet of clear. That's the kind of easy morning Looe Key is built for. 🌊

Our crew ran the morning trip out to Looe Key Reef today and the water did the rest β€” bath-warm, calm, and clear enough to float and forget what time it is. A few clouds drifted through up top, but the reef stayed bright and easy underneath. No current means no fighting the water: just kick out, look down, and let one of the healthiest reefs in the Keys do its thing.

Captain John ran the combo boat out of Big Pine Key yesterday β€” divers and snorkelers dropping in over the same patch of glass-calm water. One-foot rollers, zero current, and fish thick enough you barely had to look for them. In the captain's own words, the reef was showing off again.

Here's his log from Looe Key Reef this morning, word for word β€” and the day lived up to every line: calm seas, no current, 84Β° water clear to the bottom, and fish everywhere you looked. Divers and snorkelers, same boat, same easy morning.

Glass-calm at sunup, a little breeze by lunch β€” and somehow the reef just kept getting clearer. 🌊

Captain Josh ran two trips out to Looe Key Reef today, divers and snorkelers riding the same boat. The morning was slick-calm and easy, the kind of water first-timers dream about. By afternoon the wind picked up a touch β€” but the visibility actually opened up to a full 60 feet. Warm, bright, and 84Β°F top to bottom all day long.

Breezy, bright, and bath-warm β€” 84Β°F water and an easy west current made for the kind of morning snorkelers and divers both surfaced grinning from. The reef sits inside the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, and our crew ran the whole spread today: tanks going over the rail, snorkel vests hitting the surface, shakas all around. A little Atlantic chop kept it lively β€” exactly how a Keys summer morning should feel.

Three snorkelers, three thumbs up, one very flat ocean. πŸ€™

This morning's crew rolled out to Looe Key Reef and found exactly what makes early-summer snorkeling so easy to love: barely a ripple on the surface, bath-warm 83Β°F water, and a gentle current that let everyone just float and take it all in. Days like this are tailor-made for first-timers and families β€” calm seas, easy entries, and smiles before anyone even put their face in. And it's always a combo trip: our divers were working the reef below while the snorkel crew worked the surface, same boat, same good morning.

No current. One-foot seas. 84-degree water. Some afternoons the ocean just decides to make it easy. 🌊

Captain Malcolm took the afternoon crew out to Looe Key, and it was the relaxed kind of perfect β€” flat, glassy water with nothing pushing you around. Snorkelers drifted the surface while our divers worked the reef below; same boat, same trip, two ways to get in the water. Visibility held a solid 30 feet, and at 84Β°F you could've stayed in all day.

Out at Looe Key Reef this morning, the sea barely had a ripple β€” flat-calm, no current, and a warm 83Β° that made jumping off the boat the easiest decision of the day. The sky couldn't quite make up its mind (passing clouds, patches of sun), but down in the water it stayed clean and clear β€” snorkelers drifting easy over the coral while our divers worked the reef below. The kind of relaxed, no-rush morning Looe Key does best.

Some days the ocean just lays down flat and says "come on in." 🌊 That was Looe Key Reef this afternoon.

Captain John called it another beautiful flat day on the water β€” and the crew wasn't exaggerating. Under a foot of swell, glass-calm seas, and 84Β°F water so warm you forget you're in the ocean. Our snorkelers spent the afternoon floating over Looe Key Reef inside the Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary, one of the healthiest stretches of living coral in the Florida Keys. Easy entry, a gentle current, and that big jump-off-the-boat energy you just can't fake.
