✨ Yellowjackets parents and coaches, thank you for a great season!

⚾️ Coaches, you guys have sacrificed your own time away from other things to not only teach these boys how to grow in the sport of baseball but also how to be a good teammate, how to fight through adversity, how to work together with others even when you may not always agree, and how to work hard to achieve goals. Without the help from you guys at games and practices it wouldn’t be able to happen. We as coaches aren’t perfect and will always make mistakes. We won’t always agree with each other. But at the end of the day, it’s all about the boys and we do our best to put these guys in the best position to be successful. So Justin, Andrew, and Austin Haffner it was an awesome year being able to share the field with you 3 guys and I loved it!

⚾️Parents, if it wasn’t for you guys we wouldn’t get the opportunity to do something we truly love to do and that is coach your boys. We do our best to be great examples for the boys and I know sometimes we fall short of that. Thank you for allowing us to coach them hard. Thank you for having our backs. Thank you for the long trips to far away tournament, making sure the boys always have enough drinks during games, dragging them to practices, missing out on things that aren’t baseball, and everything else you guys do. The best thing about it from a coaching standpoint is you guys do it all and don’t complain. Volunteering as a coach is hard enough the way it is and you guys really make it a lot easier on us so thank you for that! You guys are raising some really amazing young men and that starts with how they are raised at home. It’s been a lot of fun to get to watch these boys grow up together over the past 3 years. I can only speak for myself, but I really feel like it’s more of a family than a team. And I feel like I have 15 sons (Trayce, I promise we will get you some more time as bat boy one of these days!)(My own fantastic sons Griffin, Lennox, and Ollivander. Your time is coming too boys!)

✨ Swiss Days Slugfest has come and gone. Congratulations to Shipyard 12u for winning 4-2.

✨ We would like to thank those of you that took the time to help out this weekend and to allow us to play.

Thank you to all the umpires who have a tough job to do in the field and especially behind the plate.

Thank you to Tony Sprunger for being our scoreboard operator for all the games. We went a lot of places this year and didn’t have the luxury of working scoreboards.

Thank you to Chadd Hirschy for taking care of dragging and lining the field the past few days. That was a big help.

Thank you to The Scoop Station and Tayo's Taqueria for coming and setting up giving people options for food, and thank you to the Yellowjacket sisters for selling water and Gatorade out of the concession stand.

Thank you to the 3 teams that came to play this year. It was a huge nightmare finding teams to actually come have fun and play. We really appreciate that you could make it.

Thank you to the Berne Park Board for allowing us to put on an event at Lehman Park again this year. If it wasn’t for your approval we wouldn’t have been able to have such a fun event!

Thank you to everyone that came out to support us and the other teams even when you didn’t have to. It was really awesome to look in the stands and see them packed full of more than just family of the players. I think the boys really enjoyed playing with a crowd!

🚨 Championship Game Alert 🚨

⚾️ Only 2 squads left! Tonight’s championship will be between Shipyard and Yellowjackets at 6:30pm.

⚾️Come on out for some food, fun, and to support your local boys for the final time this season! We look forward to having a packed house tonight!

⚾️ Day 2 has come to an end and we had another day of really great baseball! All the boys played hard!

⚾️ Tomorrow is the 3rd and final day. There will be a champion of the Swiss Days Slugfest crowned!!

⚾️ Game 1 of the tournament will be tomorrow starting at 9am and will be between Shipyard and Weekend Warriors! Following that it will be Decatur taking on the Yellowjackets!

⚾️ It’s been great to see the stands packed full with all your support! Come on out for the final day and cheer all these guys on for 1 more day! The Scoop Station and Tayo's Taqueria will be there again too so don’t forget to swing by and support them too! We will have water and Gatorade at the concession stand as well!

⚾️ After day 1 of games, here is where we currently sit! There was a lot of good baseball today and hopefully that continues into day 2 tomorrow!

⚾️tomorrows games will start at the same time (6pm and 8pm). Come out and have a good time cheering on your local boys again! And while you’re there, don’t forget to grab some tacos and some ice cream!

✨ Another tournament, another 2nd place finish. These guys are so close to getting over the hump and getting that first place after a long 3 year wait!

✨One more final stop for the year and it’s on our own home turf! If you would like to come out to the park and support your local area kids during Swiss Days they would love to play in front of a packed house!

✨There will also be a few other boys from SA there playing for other teams as well! So while you’re at it, come out to support those boys too!

✨Swiss Days Slugfest starts Thursday night at 6. Come out and cheer, have fun, and while you’re there grab some amazing ice cream or some fantastic tacos!!

Hey Berne! 👋🏻 We are coming to you!

We will be setting up at Lehman Park for the annual Swiss Days Slugfest 2026!!

We will be bringing our friends with Tayo's Taqueria too, so there is no need to leave the action at the diamonds for food or a cool/sweet treat!

Games are as follows!
July 23rd at 6pm and 8pm
July 24th at 6pm and 8 pm
July 25th at 9am, 11am, 1 pm, and then 6:30pm!
