Camp Manitowa offers adventure, connection, and unforgettable experiences on our beautiful 40-acre property in Southern Illinois—just 90 minutes from St. Camp Manitowa is a retreat center and residential summer camp for 2nd – 9th graders located at Rend Lake, IL about 90 minutes from St. Louis, MO and Paducah, KY.
2nd to 9th grade campers gain independence, build self-esteem, and learn about coo
peration and problem-solving, all while making new, lifelong friends at Camp Manitowa. We offer a small community for campers so that they feel like they are part of a Manitowa family. By offering some structured free play we encourage kids to feel a sense of belonging, and our choice time leaves them feeling empowered to learn and grow. Campers entering 2nd-8th grade can choose from 1 or 2 week residential camp programs tailored specifically for younger campers’ needs. In 2013 we are offering week long specialty camps that focus primarily on water skiing, magic, rock school, science and one for Gaga, the sport sweeping the Manitowa nation.
