✨ Recital photo drop! ✨

I set up my camera this year hoping to grab still shots from both shows, but technology had other plans. 😅 It only recorded about the first 30 minutes of each recital, and the autofocus definitely had a mind of its own… so there weren’t a ton of usable shots to choose from.

BUT — we still captured some really beautiful moments, and I’m so excited to share them with you all! 💙

We’re hoping next year we’ll be able to capture the entire show!

Backstage moments = some of our favorite memories 💙✨

From quick changes and happy tears to pep talks, laughter, and lots of sparkle… recital weekend was full of beautiful moments both on and off the stage. We are so proud of every dancer for the hard work, heart, and joy they brought to this year’s show!

Thank you to our dancers, families, teachers, volunteers, and backstage crew for making recital 2026 so special. We already can’t wait for next season! 🩰🌟

Today was so exciting and we are officially recital ready! 💃🩰 We are SO proud of all our dancers for their hard work, focus, and beautiful performances today. The countdown is over… it’s almost showtime! 🌟

Get some rest, dancers, and we will see you TOMORROW on stage! We can’t wait to celebrate all of your beautiful things. 💕

✨ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ✨
Today we’re celebrating our amazing senior, Katy Douglas! 💙

Katy has danced for 10 years total, including 9 wonderful years here at Ruby Blue! Her favorite style is tap, and she has brought so much energy, talent, and joy to our studio over the years.

When asked what she’ll miss most, Katy shared how much she loves the welcoming environment and the incredible friendships and teachers that made Ruby Blue feel like home each week. 🫶

Her advice to younger dancers is something everyone should remember:
“Enjoy every second of it. The years go by faster than you think they will so don’t waste it. Try that new dance style. Make those new friends. Put your heart and soul into every dance you learn. But most importantly, don’t forget to have fun.” ✨

Next year, Katy will be attending the University of North Dakota where she plans to double-major in Psychology and Criminal Justice.

We are so proud of you, Katy, and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you! 💙🎓
