🔥 Talk about close racing! Charlie Brockway edged out Wyatt Hyndman by just ONE HUNDREDTH of a second, while Kyle and Aaron Anderson tied for first in the men’s short boat!

A massive shoutout to EVERY competitor who showed up, pushed their limits, and brought the stoke! Whether you made the podium or just came out to challenge yourself, you’re what makes this event special.

Huge thanks to the organizers, volunteers, safety crews, spectators, and everyone who keeps the Benham Bash tradition alive!

One of the best parts of covering these events is meeting the people who make our river community what it is!

After the competition, I caught up with Bend local Steven Peterson of Three Sisters River School.

From beginner kayaking lessons to advanced whitewater skills and river safety, Three Sisters River School is helping people build confidence, develop skills, and discover the stoke of paddling.

Time to get technical!

The Bash switches gears with a new slalom challenge, where competitors navigate hanging gates while battling the powerful currents of Benham Falls.

It’s not just about going fast anymore. It’s about reading the river, catching eddies, making tight turns, and finding the fastest line through the course.

Speed meets precision, and one missed gate could make all the difference! 🔥
