This is a post I was hoping to not have to make for quite some time if it all. Unfortunately just like everything else in today’s days and age, it appears as though there will be a small price increase on ammo coming in the near future. Through strategic ordering and partnerships with distributors and manufacturers, I’ve been able to avoid the small increases the last 4-5 to keep everyone shooting at an affordable rate. Although minimal, the increase is coming, nothing I can do about it. Get what you can afford while you can before the rate increase comes.

Pistol Permit Office

Welcome to our new Pistol Permit Clerk Samantha Pihl. Sam is not a new face to the Sheriff’s Office but has recently assumed the duties in the Pistol Permit Office.

Pistol Permit Office Hours & Appointments
The office is open to the public Monday through Thursday. The first appointment is at 8:30 a.m., and the last appointments and walk-ins are accepted at 3:30 p.m.The office is closed to the public on Fridays.

Newly issued permits require an appointment, as stated in the letter you receive. For all other transactions, you are welcome to use the walk-in service, mail, or the office drop box.

If you have five or more transactions, we ask you please make an appointment so we have enough time to get everything taken care of. For example, purchasing three fi****ms and co-registering three fi****ms would be six transactions.
