Hello Whatcom Families,
Our 2026–2027 Folkstyle season is almost here! We’re excited to officially announce our winter training and competition schedule, along with some important information about classes, tournaments, and championship eligibility.
Our K–8 Folkstyle season begins Monday, November 9th, and runs through the WSWA State Championships in February.
WINTER PRACTICE GROUPS
We’ve structured our classes around age, experience, and commitment level to make sure every wrestler is getting the most out of their time on the mat.
8 & Under: Our youngest wrestlers will focus on fundamentals, coordination, confidence, and developing a love for wrestling. Practices are 45 minutes.
9 & Over Intermediate: Designed for developing wrestlers who are ready to build their technical foundation, improve their wrestling skills, and gain competition experience. Practices are 90 minutes.
9 & Over Advanced: Our highest-intensity youth training group for experienced wrestlers looking to compete at a higher level. Tuesday and Thursday sessions are two hours, with an emphasis on technical development, situational wrestling, and live competition.
PEAK Morning Workouts: Additional training opportunities for our committed athletes, focused on physical development, preparation, and building the habits necessary for long-term success.
Friday Competition Practices: Available for athletes competing that weekend, beginning at 5:30 PM.
Please review our WrestlingIQ Calendar for the full weekly practice schedule and class details.
