Jr. Ski to Sea Race

Jr. Ski to Sea Race A Bellingham team relay race: Ski, Run, Mtn. Bike, and Kayak. The Jr Ski to Sea Race will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Lake Padden Park.

Registration is open! A Bellingham team relay race: Ski, Run, Mt. The Jr Ski to Sea Race will be held on Sat., May 10, 2025. Registration opens February 1, 2025!

JR Ski to Sea Racers and Families: Don't forget, the Traverse has a FAMILY division for those of you looking for a unforgettable bonding experience!

We currently have two family teams registered, we'd love to see more. Racers must be 12 to compete, kids of all ages can join in the Team Trek from the Acid Ball to Kulshan Trackside.

See all of you skiers and snowboarders at Mt. Baker Ski Area tomorrow. REMINDER: All snowbirds will pickup their bib AND timing chip tomorrow before the safety talk. Elementary Division can pickup anytime between 8:00 - 8:45 for a 9:00 am race and Middle & HS Divisions can pickup anytime between 9:00 - 9:45 for a 10:00 am race.

We can't thank the Mt Baker Ski Area enough for all that they do to make the race happen! Give Steph, Brandon and all the volunteers a big thank you for dedicating their Friday and Saturday to make the Jr Race happen.

Due to low snow level this year, the course will be a little different.
Elementary racers will hike 2/3rds of the way up, cut out to Heather from Middle 7 hills, past handle tow to Heather Cliffs and ski down to the bottom of chair 2.

Middle & High School racers will Skate from the instruction/rental building down Heather Cliffs, to bottom of Chair 2, hike up Mitzy’s past Chair 3 to Lower North, ski down Lower North, and skate to Roly Poly before descending to Chair 2.

Office dogs, Fish and ZuZu, are thrilled to model this year's Jr Ski to Sea Competitor shirts and socks. We got our shipment today, which means that race day is coming up fast... only three days away!

The weather is looking perfect for race day on the mountain and in town, can't wait to snap some sunny photos of racers doing thier thing on Saturday!

For those last minute joiners, registration closes on Thursday.
