🌧️ Men’s League Weather Update – Belleville Country Club ⛳

We’re keeping a close eye on the weather this afternoon. The current forecast shows the rain moving out around 5:30 PM, and if it remains light like it is now, we’ll still be playing Men’s League tonight.

To help protect the golf course, we ask everyone to please:

* 🚗 Stay on the cart paths as much as possible.
* 🌱 Limit driving on wet turf whenever you can.
* 👣 Walk to your ball from the cart whenever practical.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep the course in great shape while still getting to enjoy an evening of golf.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and will post another update if anything changes. Otherwise, we’ll see everyone at the course tonight! 🏌️‍♂️

📅 Belleville Country Club – Remaining 2026 Tournament Schedule Update ⛳

As we head into the late portion of another great golf season, we wanted to share our remaining tournament schedule and make everyone aware of a few important changes that were necessary due to scheduling conflicts.

Here are the updates:

🏆 Club Championship
The Club Championship has been moved to Sunday, August 16 (previously listed as August 15).

🐎 Labor Day Horse Race
Our original announcement had the incorrect date. Since Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7 this year, the Horse Race will be held Monday, September 7 at 1:00 PM.

🏈 Mulligan Stew Two-Person Scramble
We’ve moved the tournament from Saturday, October 17 to Saturday, October 24 at 10:00 AM. With the Kansas State vs. Kansas rivalry game scheduled for October 17, we wanted to avoid a low turnout and give everyone the opportunity to enjoy both events.

🏌️ 2026 Belle-Ron Cup Play-In Match Play Format & Live Draw Announcement 🏌️

Attention to the 12 Junior and 4 Senior players participating in this year’s Belle-Ron Cup Play-In!

The LIVE random draw for all Play-In Match Play pairings will take place Saturday morning following the conclusion of the tournament on the Belleville Country Club page.

Junior Division (12 Players / 6 Matches)

To make the draw as fair and random as possible:

⛳ The top six players (skill wise determined by the captain)on the Junior side will each have their name written on a golf ball and placed into a hat.

⛳ The Team Captain will then announce one player from the remaining six players who are not represented by a golf ball.

⛳ A golf ball will be drawn from the hat, and the name on that ball will become that player’s Play-In opponent.

⛳ This process will continue until all six matches have been determined.

Senior Division (4 Players / 2 Matches)

⛳ All four Senior participants will have their names written on golf balls and placed into the hat.

⛳ The first two names drawn will play each other.

⛳ The remaining two players will automatically become the second match.

Why We’re Drawing Early

By setting the matches well in advance, it gives players the opportunity to coordinate schedules. If you are unable to play on the official Play-In date of Saturday, August 22, you may contact your opponent and arrange to play your match before that date. Once completed, simply report the result to the Team Captain.

August 22 will remain the official Play-In date unless all matches have already been completed.

Match Play Rules

🏌️ 18-Hole Individual Match Play

• Each hole is its own competition.
• Win a hole, lose a hole, or halve (tie) the hole.
• There are no carry-over holes.
• The match ends when one player leads by more holes than remain to be played (examples: 3 & 2, 4 & 3, 6 & 5).
• Junior matches will be played from the whites and blue tees. Senior matches will be played from the purple and black tees.

🏆 2026 Belle-Ron Cup Team Selections Announced!

The excitement surrounding this year’s Belle-Ron Cup has been incredible, and with more interest than ever in representing the team, we’ve introduced a new play-in format to determine half of this year’s roster.

Our team captain has selected half of the Junior and Senior teams, while the remaining spots will be earned through an 18-Hole Match Play 1v1 Play-In (random draw)

📅 Play-In Date: Saturday, August 22
⏰ Tee Time: 10:00 AM
📍 Belleville Country Club

If you are participating in the play-in but cannot make the August 22 date or are no longer interested in competing for a roster spot, please contact Tim Talkington at (785) 955-7045 as soon as possible. We will do our best to arrange for your match to be played against your assigned opponent at a later date if needed.

🚨 Pool Closure Notice 🚨

Unfortunately, the Belleville Country Club pool is closed until further notice due to pump issues… again. 😞

We’re working to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible and appreciate everyone’s patience while repairs are being made.

We’ll post an update as soon as the pool is ready to reopen.
