NEPA 9 17U finished a competitive first day of play this fall with a win and a one-run loss at ECTB in Lehigh Valley.
It was a team effort on offense in game one led by Brayden Alma (two-run homerun and a double). Anthony Thaxton (single, double, 2 runs scored), Ben Mitschelle (2 hits, run scored), Mason Glucksnis (RBI single, 2 runs scored), Griffin Raap(two-run single) and Gage Roberts (RBI single) all chipped in.
Jayden Kirschner secured the win on the bump with Ben Mitschelle earning the save.
The 9 enter bracket play as the #2 seed tomorrow. Go 9!

NEPA 9 14U got off to a strong start in their first fall tournament with a 9-6 win in game one and an 8-8 game two tie at ECTB in Allentown.
Logan Garing (2 doubles, RBI), Emmett Ayers (2 hits, RBI) led the offense and CJ Harms and Christian Saldana each contributed with an RBI in the opener.
The 9 rallied to take the lead twice in game two vs. Ghost Valley Dawgs Black and held a lead with 2 outs in the seventh thanks to Garing (3 hits, 2 RBI), Stephen Alvarez (2 RBI) and Caleb Gardner and Sawyer Watson (each with 2 runs scored).
The 9 enter bracket play as the #6 seed in a 15-team field tomorrow
