Today, we’re pausing the trail talk to remember the absolute heroes of June 6, 1944.

The freedom we enjoy every day to hit the trails, build our rigs, and explore this country was paid for on the beaches of Normandy 82 years ago. This day is incredibly personal to me. My grandfather was in the 1st wave at Omaha Beach, serving as a US Navy Signalman on an LCI(L) landing craft. He survived the unimaginable, losing two separate vessels in the battle—one striking a mine, and the other completely shot up.

The bravery of the men who pushed through that hellish fire is beyond comprehension. Many survived and carried those physical and mental scars with them, but countless lives were lost or changed forever so that we could live free.

Wherever your journey takes you today, please take a moment to remember the Greatest Generation and the profound sacrifices they made for us. 🇺🇸

Starting a Jeep Collection for the Grandkids

"I’ve started a fun new project—collecting Hot Wheels and Matchbox Jeeps for my grandkids! There’s something about these little rigs that just never gets old.

I’m curious to hear from the rest of the community:

Do you collect them? Who else is out here hunting for these?
To open or not to open? I know this is the ultimate collector’s dilemma! Some say keep them in the packaging to preserve the history and artwork, while others believe you have to 'crack them open' to actually enjoy the detail and display them properly. Where do you stand?

Where do you hunt? I love hitting up swap meets and flea markets to find hidden gems. Where are your favorite spots to shop?

I managed to pick up these 6 for $10 this weekend—not a bad start to the collection! Looking forward to seeing what’s in your stash."
