🌿 TSRA HUNTING & WILDLIFE UPDATE 🦌

The Texas State Rifle Association is proud to have Troy Michalik, TSRA Hunting & Wildlife Director, attending the 20th South Texas Wildlife Conference in Cotulla, Texas, this weekend!

This conference brings together landowners, wildlife professionals, researchers, hunters, and conservation leaders to discuss the issues shaping the future of wildlife and habitat management across South Texas.

During the conference, Troy will have the opportunity to expand his knowledge and bring valuable information back to TSRA members on topics such as:

🦌 White-tailed deer management and herd health
🌾 Habitat, forage, and range management
💧 The effects of drought, rainfall, and water availability on wildlife
🦃 Management practices benefiting game and non-game species
🌿 Brush and native vegetation management
🔬 Current wildlife research and management strategies
🤝 Working with landowners, hunters, biologists, and conservation organizations to protect Texas’ hunting and wildlife heritage

For TSRA, attending conferences like this is about more than gathering information. It’s about making sure Texas hunters have a voice in the conversations surrounding wildlife conservation, responsible hunting, habitat management, and the future of our outdoor traditions.

Troy looks forward to bringing what he learns in Cotulla back to our members and using it to strengthen TSRA’s Hunting & Wildlife programs throughout the state.
