TacCon 2027. April 2-4 at the Dallas Pistol Club

Tickets for next year’s TacCon should go on sale in the next week. TacCon is the premier annual event for self-defense-minded folks, both new and experienced.

It’s three days of 40+ nationally recognized trainers, about 350 attendees, live-fire range blocks, classroom blocks, and hands-on training in medical, legal, empty hands, managing unknown contacts and much more.

The event has sold out in a very short time in most previous years, so if you want to reserve your spot, be sure to check taccon.info often.

This coming Sunday, December 21st, Mike Webb’s Texas Tactical will be having an IDPA match at Total Hit Ranch, near Blackhawk.

There will be 5 stages of great fun meant to challenge all levels of shooters.

If you’d like to help with set up, we can always use more folks.

Please be at the range by 8:00, and remember, speed limit is 10mph on the range road!

Is one of your New Year's Resolutions to be better prepared to protect yourself and your family?

This Texas License to Carry (LTC) class is a great start!

Why should you get your LTC?

* Most importantly: Knowledge of important elements of self-defense such as: preclusion and de-escalation, laws regarding deadly force, pre-assault indicators, etc.
* Reciprocity with other states. Your Texas LTC is honored by 35+ other states, allowing you to carry concealed while traveling.
* In any interactions with Texas police, your LTC lets them know you are among most law-abiding segment of society. LTC holders are on average about 0.4% of criminal convictions in any year.
* License holders have protections for accidental carrying of a firearm in the secured area of airport.
* No background check on handgun purchase. Your LTC is proof of a clear background and handgun purchase eligibility.
* Unlicensed carry can be prohibited by 30.05 signs and other more generic signs. Only 30.06 & 30.07 signs apply to licensed carry.
