Her 10th Turkey Hunt 🥹
Last season, we hunted 9 times together chasing her first Turkey. We had several close calls through the year and finally on the 9th hunt, she shot what was probably the largest tom we have seen all year. When we approached the flopping bird, he picked his head up and he and I were full sprint into the cedar trees for hundreds of yards before we lost him. We never saw that bird again and still have nightmares about it. We have fortunately been so busy this season with clients that we haven’t had any spare time to chase them this year so we were just going to wait for the youth weekend. After church Sunday we were blessed to have access to a honey hole here in town and after 10-12 minutes, this warrior gobbled 7-8 times and came right in at 15 yards. You better believe she took that second shot, just in case. Over the moon for Karsen Kay!
