This facility has been the treasured center of summer life for generations of Stoneleigh families. Our popular programs include the Free State League Champion Stoneleigh Sharks Competitive Swim Team; the Morning Lap Swim for adults; and many more events and activities for our members.

It’s a chilly opening day, but somehow the pool water is warmer than the air. The pool is at 66° and the air is around 51°, for whatever that’s worth.

A few people have mentioned being interested in a quick opening-day dip, so we’re going to do a very unofficial Polar Bear Plunge at 3:00 p.m. for anyone who wants to join in solidarity.

Come if you want, stay warm if you don’t!

Tomorrow 2:00-5:00 we’ll be getting some things spruced-up at the pool ahead of opening. Minor maintenance jobs, power washing etc. if you can come help that would be great. If you can lend us your power washer for a few hours that would be great too.

Does the chill in the air and the early sunset have you reminiscing about those glorious summer evenings—huddled with your trivia team, passionately debating whether Pluto still counts as a planet? Longing for just one more chance at trivia glory? Well, bundle up and brace yourself, because your wish has been granted.
Join us for a Pop-Up Trivia Event this Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 1 PM in the Pavilion!
Bring your old crew, recruit some new brains, or just show up and hope someone adopts you.
A few important details:
• Will the weather be awesome? Almost certainly (according to our very reliable, totally anonymous sources).
• Will there be prizes? Maybe. Probably. Let’s just say it depends on how you define “prize.”
• Will there be bathrooms? Sadly, no. Plan accordingly.
• Will it be fun? Absolutely. 100%. Guaranteed.*

And because trivia is more fun when it does some good — we’re collecting non-perishable food items and canned goods for donation. Bring a few to share the love (and maybe score some bonus good karma points with the trivia gods).
