🏆 WPR Newbie Open Tournament

Calling all development players! We welcome men’s, women’s, and coed teams for a competitive and fun WPR-rated event.

📅 Saturday, April 25
⏰ 11:30 PM – 3 PM

Bring your team and add your partner’s name when registering.

🔹 Format

6 Teams total
Group Stage ➝ Playoffs
Matches:
Two short sets (starting at 2–2)
Third set = tiebreaker (in lieu of full third set)
One deuce ➝ Golden Point
Finals played as a full match
All matches will be officially submitted to WPR for rating purposes.

💲 Entry Fee

$55 per player
(Both players must register)
✅ Requirements

All players must create a WPR account prior to the event
Select Padelphia as your main club for rating purposes
(Takes about 2 minutes — link provided at signup)

🧠🎾 Mental Skills Pt. 2 with Maddie Wood

We’re excited to welcome Maddie Wood back to HPTA for another important session focused on the mental side of performance.

This presentation will cover mental health and how to improve internal communication on the court — two key areas for players looking to grow not just physically and technically, but mentally as competitors.

Everyone in our Competitive Pathway is strongly encouraged to attend.
And for parents who were not able to attend the first session, this is a great opportunity to join us and gain valuable insight that can help support your player’s development.

🎾 USTA EDC Camp is coming up on April 11th at HPTA – AFC Riverside!

From 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, players will have the chance to train in a high-performance environment with competitive drills, tactical match play, and specialized fitness work designed to help take their game to the next level.

This is a great opportunity for players looking to:
🔥 Earn additional points
🎾 Get quality drilling in
💪 Compete in match play situations
📈 Build confidence in a strong developmental setting

We’re also excited that Coach Sam and Kellen plan on being there, making this a great chance to train and compete with support from familiar coaches.
