4.28.1992 - 12. 10.2023 Impressive Air Cody , AKA “ Jordan” I bought this wonder boy in utero and brought him home at 6 mos old. He was special from day 1. As a youngster he would jump his stall door and I’d find him in the barn aisle. When Jordan was 2 yr old I had another chestnut gelding, Otto, that the instructor would use for lessons. They were similar in build as beefy qh boys go. The instructor, I found out later, smoked w**d fairly regularly thus I think led to pulling the wrong horse from the paddock. She tacked up my unbroke boy and attempted to mount and wondered later why he wouldn’t stand at the mounting block. Needless to say he was a breeze to break. When we moved to Chamounix Stables Lenny the pony would beat up on daily. This abuse by the pony stayed with him his whole life, lol. He would charge at ponies during lessons if they got too close. I can honestly say that was his only vice. He was my packer, my pleasure horse, my go to boy for anyone. He could jump the moon and taught hundreds of people to ride for over 20 years. I didn’t get to say goodbye but perhaps that’s not a bad thing. He was living a nice life in retirement and passed away quietly. 31 years is a long life although I guess I was hoping he would be around for a few more years.
