Instructor in the Spotlight: Miss Lindsey 🩵

Miss Lindsey began dancing at age 3 in Alaska. Her dad was in the military. When her family settled in Massachusetts, she really developed a love for dance. At a young age, she knew she was going to not only teach but open her own studio. By 6th grade, she was assisting and eventually teaching her own classes in high school.
She attended Dean College where she earned her degree in Performing Arts while majoring in dance.
The Dance Garden opened in Ayer in November 2017. Miss Lindsey had been teaching for 22 years at that point and has now been teaching for 31. She has enjoyed working with dancers as young as 15 months, all the way up to older adults.
She has brought her programs to preschools and libraries, worked as an assistant gymnastics coach and done choreography for local theater groups.
When she opened The Dance Garden, her goal was to provide a dance home for all where everyone can feel included.
Her loves are her family and her dancers.
When she is not at the studio is most likely spending time with her 4 children and labradoodle, Buzz!

Instructor in the Spotlight: Miss Bella! ❤️

Miss Bella has been dancing for 18 years and teaching at The Dance Garden for 5 years. She teaches mostly Hip Hop and Contemporary and is fantastic with our middle school and high school age dancers.
Along with Dance, Bella has been active in cheerleading, and acting along with working on a modeling portfolio. She has also worked as a lifeguard and in dog grooming. Her favorite dance styles are Contemporary and Ballet.
You will see Miss Bella on Monday and Wednesdays after school in the fall!

There is something special about small businesses. Not the big, flashy ones- but the ones that are built from nothing into something magical.
There is no CEO making decisions from some corporate office miles away. You might bump into the owner when you come in at any given time.
You aren't funding their 3rd home in Maui. You are helping them feed their kids.
Small business run on Home Depot trips, community support, wishes and dreams.
The next time you are considering spending money on something you don't need at a big business think to yourself... did the CEO paint these walls for me themselves?

Instructor in the Spotlight: Miss Kelsey!

Miss Kelsey has been dancing for 27 years and teaching for 14. She has earned her bachelor's degree in Dance from Bridgewater State University in 2018. She also a master's degree in Psychology from SNHU, and another master's in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) from AIC!
Her favorite dance styles are Modern and Lyrical, and she loves sharing her passion for dance with others. Miss Kelsey believes that everyone should have the chance to dance and absolutely loves watching her students grow confidence through movement!
During the day, she works as a special education reading teacher. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies with her husband or getting lost in a good book.
You will find Miss Kelsey at the studio on Tuesday nights- be sure to say hi! 💙
