First off, Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers out there.

I am spending my Father's Day out in the garage. I was asked what I wanted to do today and well I want to make both the fastkart and the crown vic faster. So I am out in the garage in my happy place. Starting on the Junior Fastkart to repair damage from friday night and work on a different setup. Correcting all the issues I find. Then will move over to the crown vic.

We both race this coming week. Friday June 26th we will be racing the crown vic on the road course and figure 8. Then Saturday Emma will be racing the junior fastkart.

Well Emma had a pretty decent night at the track even though I really missed the setup. We kept making changes but could not find the right combination and it hurt the lap times. Emma battled through and gave it all she had.

Emma started 2nd in her heat race. By the time they got to turn one they were 4 wide. Emma was the second kart from the bottom with one on her inside and two to her outside. She gave it all the beans and when they came out of turn 2 she had the lead!. She lead her first ever lap and almost the second lap. She dropped back to 3rd and was running strong before getting spun just coming out of turn 4. She did a quick recovery but ended up finishing 7th.

Then onto the feature. Emma started last, 13th. One the first lap there was a big wreck in turn 3 which Emma did some great driving to avoid all the spinning karts. The wreck took a few kids out. We then restarted 7th. Emma drove hard but the handling and speed were not there. She went a lap down. She did an awesome job holding her line. A kid cut across her nose which spun that kid out. Not Emma's fault. The kid then came back and retaliated later on in the race and turned right in to her right side crushing the side panel and rub rail. This did not affect Emma. She stayed in the gas and held her line. By the time the checkard flag flew she was 6th.

Back to the drawing board this week to get the kart to handle better and to get the motor to run better. It just sounded flat coming out of the turns. We will get it fixed. Emma's next race is Saturday June 27

Arrington Racing and All the Beans Emma Means are ready to go. Waiting to get into the track at the famous Indianapolis Speedrome! Tonight starts are chase for the summer series. The weather is beautiful and the driver is excited to get out on the track.

Arrington Racing has worked hard this week getting Emma's Junior Fastkart ready for tonight. Emma has definitely put in the effort to get the kart ready. We will be getting loaded up here in a few hours to head to the track.

We hope to see everyone come out to the track tonight. It's only $5 general admission. Come out and support the Indianapolis Speedrome and everyone racing tonight.

Emma is dedicated. While I was at work today she took the initiative to go out in the garage and work on her fastkart. She worked hard getting it all cleaned up. Proud of this girl!

Fun fact: she wasn't told to go do it. She did it on her own. It's awesome to see her taking pride of her Equipment.
