The Fishbites.com Battle on the Bayou, presented by Boonedox, is officially in the books!
Congratulations to all the anglers who battled it out and finished in the Top 4.
Champion – Kenny Vazinski
Kenny edged out a strong field of Louisiana locals to secure his first victory—and in dominant fashion. Along with the win, he also claimed Biggest Redfish and Biggest Flounder, launching himself into the lead for the Angler of the Year race.
2nd Place – Jerry Cottrell
Jerry made a strong push up the leaderboard by landing the Big Trout, locking in a well-earned second-place finish.
3rd Place – Pam Wirth
Pamela sealed her podium spot by completing her slam late in the day, jumping ahead of Chad Michael Willard to take third.
4th Place – Chad Michael Willard
Chad battled through the day with a tough bite, but in the final 10 minutes, he landed a clutch redfish to secure fourth place. He also took home the first “out of the money” prize presented by —no doubt he’ll be putting that Center Console to good use at the next event.
Big Fish Honors
Kenny Vazinski – Big Redfish & Big Flounder
Jerry Cottrell – Big Trout
Both anglers have earned entry into the Skinnywater Lures Heavy Hitters Championship in Mobile, AL. Kenny already has multiple qualifications and continues to thin out the competition with every event he dominates.
With four events complete, the series now shifts focus to Texas for the first Lone Star stop of the season: Corpus Christi, hosted by Roy’s Bait & Tackle on May 30th.
Congratulations again to all the competitors—we’ll see you in Texas!
