Connor McGregor vs Max Holloway II
This is going to be fireworks...I think. I say that because we don't know what we are getting with Connor. We know what we use to have when he entered the octagon (or ring) but honestly we have not seen that fire in him in a long time. Plus this fight is at welterweight. Makes me think he's not wanting to go thru that grind of cutting weight for real. I'm sure this sounds like a hit piece on Connor but it's not. I remember how elite his timing use to be. I remember the punching power and precision he possessed. See fights against Jose and Dustin. Hell look at the first fight with his opponent tonight.

Speaking of that opponent...Max Holloway has been active in the fight game. Win or Lose he has been extra exciting (overlook the Charles O fight). He has a recent highlight KO win over current champions Justin Gaethje.

I'm sure the casual fans are all taking the Notorious One. I mean he has been the biggest name in the sport for a decade. However I am picking Max. At this stage in the game everything that Connor DID well, Max currently do better. I anticipate an excellent fight for the first two rounds. I believe conditioning is going to be an issue for both. Carrying extra weight (muscle or not) changes you.

Bottom line...Max BLESSED Holloway over NOTORIOUS Connor McGregor.

Let me get into this card. I wanted to do a recording but I didn't have time. I'm still hyped about my Knicks.
Let me give you my picks on this.

I think some of these are gimme fights so it can serve a certain purpose but I will refrain from that type of commentary.
I'm picking Diego Lopes over Steve Garcia.
Bo Nickal over Kyle Daukaus.
Michael Chandler over Mauricio Ruffy.
Derrick Lewis over Josh Hokit.
Sean O'Malley over Aiemann Zahabi.
The main and co-main I need to give extra attention to.

I think at this moment in time that Ilia Topuria is a better fighter than Justin Gaethje. Justin is still a great fighter. Don't get that twisted At ALL. He is still a top fighter in his division. Ask Paddy the baddie. Justin is now 37 and somewhere around that age sometimes your body starts to misfire sometimes as a fighter. It's like having an old school ride. Still fly as hell but you gotta let it warm up for a bit. Make sense? Ilia is 29 and has proven to be a top fighter and will be for another five years. I expect Justin to bring the pain and make it an exciting fight but youth will come out on top. Ilia by decision.

I think Ciryl Gane is getting disrespected in the worse way. People are already setting up a fight for Alex Pereira vs Jon Jones and/or Tom Aspinall. Now I don't think Gane will beat Jon if they fight again. I think Jon got him shook but he was whipping ass against Tom. Plus this is different for Alex. He was naturally heavier and most MW and LHW but this is different at HW. We don't know if his stamina will hold up. Not only that, can he take a punch from a real HW. Gane is use to this size and this weight and moves very well. I'm taking Ciryl in this fight actually...and by KO. If not then Alex is the Roy Jones of the UFC.
