This is the sad reality of a city ball field that people in the community work really hard to improve and other people in the community don’t care enough to take care of it! The last two weeks the fields have been trashed, more so the softball field! Pitching mounds tore out of the ground, bases ripped up, bleachers taken out of the dugouts, beer cans scattered all over the place. ATTENTION this is NOT your party ground! We work hard on these fields for the kids in this town to have a place to practice and play ball not for you to hang out and trash the place! It’s a very sad situation!

There are some big changes coming for the Atkins Youth Association as we push forward to making the program even bigger and better than before, one of these changes will be our change in AYA President! Three Harris has been our president for the past few years and with life changing and new opportunities for he and his family he has to decided to step away from AYA and let JT Keeling take over! Now JT is not new to AYA he has spent countless hours this past spring/summer season working on fields, addressing issues with parents and coaches, working with other commissioners and making sure things ran smoothly! We are excited for these changes and look forward to the improvements that will be in our future! Three thank you for being a part of the AYA we wish you nothing but the best in the next chapter! This is our official WELCOME to AYA as the President JT Keeling!

Atkins 8U blast brought home some 1st place bling in their state tournament played in Dover! Way to go girls!

The last three weeks have been full of baseball and softball games all over the state! These kids have played hard and really put in the work! Atkins had the pleasure of hosting 8U softball, 6U baseball, and 10U baseball leagues for 2026 District tournaments! Thank you to everyone that made this possible and congratulations to all of our teams that placed!

8U SOFTBALL:
1st Pottsville Chaos
2nd Atkins Blast
3rd Wildthangs

6U BASEBALL:

1st place Pottsville royals
2nd place Pottsville Diamond dogs
3rd place Dover Strikers

10U BASEBALL:
1st place DA Ballers
2nd place Atkins Red Devils
3rd place Dover bullfrogs

AND….. Atkins Red Devils 8U won their district tournament played in Pottsville! Congratulations guys!

REMINDER!!!!! Atkins P*e Wee Cheer signups are tomorrow 9-11 at the atkins ball park! There will be games going on so just tell the person at the gate you’re there for signups! The table will be set up next to the concession stand! $60 signup fee cash or check ONLY!
