As most of you know the 5E didn’t go to Butler for High Limits Mace Thomas Classic for the first time in a few years. What used to be a sure calendar date turned into something to far to reach for. I’ve had quite a few people ask why. Well first off nights in the motor are crucial for a team with 1 motor. And with a busy month starting this weekend we need to be able to race deep into the season with the All Star Circuit of Champions being our main focus. Another reason is speed. It has been clear we have struggled a lot this year. We had said at Lawrenceburg that we haven’t really been to a race yet. That was true. Between an issue with our fuel cell, brakes locking up, and having a nagging issue of the car hopping violently thruought the corner. We have had a lot of issues to try and route around.

We are going to keep working at it. This has been one of my hardest years of racing but I am so lucky to have a great team around me. Mom, Dad, Jacob Gruber, Sydney, and Jenelle have all worked their butts off and the results have not shown.

I want to figure this out so bad and feel like I have a legitimate shot at this deal. Cause right now I don’t. We can and will fix what the issues are and hoping for a better showing in one of the toughest trips of the year to Central Pa. Looking to right the ship and go to battle once again Friday!

Not a good night with High Limit Racing and the All Star Circuit of Champions

Qualified 20th
Heat race 8th-> 8th
B Main 9th-> 8th

Need to figure out the race car again plain and simple. Struggling a lot in qualifying and putting ourselves behind the rest of the night. Just gotta find the issue.
