Shock sweeps!

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U Claims Victory Over Ti-Clones in Blow-Out Fashion, 15-4

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Ti-Clones 15-4

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U got things started in the first inning when Alaina Lewis drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Ti-Clones tied things up at two. An error scored one run for Ti-Clones.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Aubree Ruggirello drew a walk, scoring one run and Sabrina Justice drew a walk, scoring one run.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U tallied seven runs in the third inning. Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U batters contributing to the big inning included Isabella McCulley, Ruggirello, Justice, Chloe Cantin, and Alaura Stermer, all driving in runs in the frame.

Cochran earned the win for Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U. She surrendered four runs on three hits over four innings, striking out one and walking one.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U tallied 11 hits in the game. Cantin, Justice, and McCulley all managed multiple hits for Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U. McCulley, Justice, and Cantin each collected two hits to lead Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U Claims Victory Over Ti-Clones in Blow-Out Fashion, 11-5

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U had everything working on Sunday, winning big over Ti-Clones 11-5

Ti-Clones opened up scoring in the first inning. PlayerC grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U tied things up at two when Alaina Lewis doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

After Ti-Clones scored two runs in the top of the fifth, Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U answered with two of their own. Ti-Clones scored when PlayerB singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U then answered when Bella Stockett lined out, driving in a run.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U and Sabrina Justice singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Chloe Cantin and Ella Smith all drove in runs in the frame.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U Clinches Lead in Third Inning for Victory Over Michigan Wolves

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U snagged a late lead and defeated Michigan Wolves 11-7 on Friday. The game was tied at four with Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U batting in the top of the third when Aubree Ruggirello singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U earned the victory despite allowing Michigan Wolves to score four runs in the first inning. Michigan Wolves's big inning was driven by a walk by PlayerI and a single by PlayerE.

Michigan Wolves got things started in the first inning when PlayerE singled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.

Isabella McCulley pitched Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U to victory. She lasted four innings, allowing six hits and seven runs while striking out seven.

Violet Smith, Chloe Cantin, McCulley, Bella Stockett, Ella Smith, Ruggirello, and Chelsey Cochran each collected one hit to lead Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U. Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cantin made the most plays with seven. Macomb Shock-McCulley 14U stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Cochran led the way with two.

Michigan Wolves collected six hits. PlayerE and PlayerC all had multiple hits for Michigan Wolves.

Macomb Shock Tryouts

Macomb Shock Tryouts will be held on August 5th from 12-4 at Macomb Corners, fields 1&2.

As an organization we are offering 10u, 11u, 12/13u, 14u, 16u, and 18u.

I will be moving up to 14u and our time slot is 12-2. If you have individual questions please text tomorrow evening, otherwise I will see you at the banquet.

I want to throw out a big congratulations to my cousin in NJ. Their team won the Florida Space Coast Championship and she was named the tournaments Most Outstanding Pitcher!!!

Our Shock girls came out and battled Saturday morning, the first game was at 8am and we dropped the first of 4 games against the Michigan Intruders 9-2, placing us in jeopardy for the remainder of the day. As the heat rose so did our girls! We jumped out to a 5-0 lead on Ohio’s Lady Irish, Shock held their ground and a late surge to win 12-11.
Michigan Rage our 3rd game with the temperature around 98, we fell behind 6-0. Shock stormed back to win 9-8 and sent the Rage home.
Our last game was against LC Sharks from Columbus, Ohio. There we ran into some controversy and quite frankly umpires that didn’t understand the game. Our Ladies were in it until the end. The final was 9-2, but the Sharks were able to score 6 runs in the 5th when we ran out of pitching options.

I saw these girls get better as the games went on and their teammates went down and to rise up to the challenge again on Saturday and fight their opponents.

Shock drop final pool game 9-3, #10 sat out and is hoping to pitch in tomorrow’s bracket play and #14 took a flying bat off her hand and is also hoping to come back tomorrow.

They get their rematch chance against the Intruders tomorrow morning.
